Charity Spin | Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada
May is Brain Tumour Awareness Month. On May 25th, I’m hosting a charity spin class at The Study to raise funds for the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada — a cause that means a great deal to me.
My mom passed away in 2016 after a long and courageous battle with brain cancer, and I’ve seen firsthand how life-changing and overwhelming a diagnosis like this can be.
Off the bike, I’ve worked in Radiation Oncology for a decade, where I have witnessed the lasting impact brain tumours have on patients and their families every day. These experiences remind me of how important it is to support those going through this journey — and to keep pushing for better care, resources, and research.
This May, alongside my family we are raising funds for the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada to honour my mom’s memory while raising funds and awareness for the thousands of Canadians still affected by brain tumours. The Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada plays a vital role by:
